Copying an existing opportunity allows administrators to replicate all aspects (Details, Requirements, Routing Steps, Notifications, and Progress Reports) quickly. A common use for this functionality is re-launching a past opportunity in a different cycle (i.e., time period). 


Note: The copied version will not contain copies of submitted applications or reviews from the original.


Steps to Copy


1. From your Manage tab, select an open, archived, or draft (The example below is a launched, open opportunity).

2. Click the Copy button from the menu options on the right.

3. A pop up box will explain next steps. Click Yes, Copy to create a new draft.

4. Once it is copied, you are taken directly to the Details page of the new draft. Make edits to any of the steps as needed. 

  • The words "Copy of" are added to the title but can be removed.
  • You will have to put in a new Internal Submission Deadline (application close date).

5. When you're ready, from the Finalize page, choose Save As Draft, Save As Template, Launch, or Set Launch Date.
