The field label is how the question is identified to the individual submitting the form, as well as to reviewers. It is best to keep it as short as possible while still conveying the key purpose of the question. This will make it easier for administrators to view the question when configuring logic, in the Data Grid, and in Excel reports. 

  • For example, instead of "What is your class standing?" use "Class Standing". 
  • Then use the Instructions area to add any longer clarifying notes. 
  • The images below show the same field label ("Class Standing") in each location. 


Note: The example below is a multiple choice question, but all question types require a field label.
