The title field is a default, required field on core InfoReady templates. It must be used but can be renamed. (see below).


Note: In all templates, the field is meant for an application or project title, rather than a professional title. To collect that information, build another question (e.g., text field, multiple choice).


Form Designer Template

  • Click directly in the field to rename. 
  • Applicants can enter up to 1,024 characters.
  • Admins cannot enter a maxium character limit.

Funding Template

  • The Proposal Title field cannot be renamed. 
  • Add to the Note to Applicant section to clarify how the field should be filled out (if needed).
  • Applicants can enter up to 255 characters.

General Template

Notifications

  • However, even if renamed, the response collected in that field by each applicant will appear in many email notifications. 
  • In the email templates section, the {application title} mail merge field indicates where that response will display. 
  • Repurpose or remove that mail merge field to clarify the message users receive.

Data Grid

  • The title field shows as a default column (outlined below).
  • Click the title to access the individual application view

PDF

  • The downloaded PDF application packet that administrators and reviewers see will always have the application title.
  • It shows on the initial Table of Contents page and the first page of question data.
