If a competition or opportunity has ongoing or rolling application and/or review deadlines (or even no deadline at all), below are some tips for various ways you might indicate this in the platform.
Details Page
Hide the Internal Submission Deadline
- You must enter an Internal Submission Deadline, but you can hide it from applicants' view. (This is the day/time that the platform will no longer allow submissions). Simply un-check the box next to that date:
Applicants will only see dates administrators choose to show. In this example, that is only the Funding Organization's Deadline.

Adjust Categories or Cycles
Create categories and/or cycles that reflect the nature of the deadline(s). Use this in combination with hiding the Internal Submission Deadline to clarify why no deadline shows.
Routing Steps
Use Offset Deadlines
- You can set review deadlines to be offset by days, weeks, or months from when a previous assignment was completed.
- This setting allows each application to have the same review period cadence (e.g., 1 week for the first step,
5 days for the second) without needing to calculate the specific date each time.
Consider Automatic Assignments
- If the same individual(s) will review all submissions for a particular step, enter their emails and check the "Automatically assign reviews" box.
- Combining this feature with offset dates allows applications to continue flowing to the correct individuals with minimal administrator intervention.
