Did an applicant accidentally apply to the wrong opportunity? If so, an administrator can either have the applicant re-submit to the correct one (if the deadline hasn't passed), or follow the steps below to "move" the application manually:
- Open the current submitted application in one tab on your computer. Download any attached files that are included with the application and save them in an easy-to-access location (like your desktop).
- Open a new tab to the opportunity that the application should have been submitted in.
- Use the Submit by Proxy button in that opportunity to submit the materials on behalf of the applicant. Make sure to enter the applicant's email address in the first dropdown field so that the application is tied to that applicant's account.
- Use the application info in the first tab you opened to copy/paste application info into the new application and/or attach any of the requested files.
- Once the application is submitted in the correct opportunity, you can delete the application in the initial (i.e., incorrect) one.
Note: The applicant will get another "Your Application Received" confirmation email when their application is re-submitted, so you may want to notify them in advance before taking any other steps.
