Routing steps can be skipped within an individual application, or in batches, as shown below.
Why skip routing steps?
- The default routing step behavior is for submissions to move forward sequentially from one routing step to the next (if multiple steps exist).
- Administrators may decide that an application does not need to be assigned reviewers in a specific routing step, but needs assigned reviewers for later routing steps.
- In order for the reviewers to gain access to the reviews and be notified via the Review Requests Digest, the administrator will need to skip the routing step(s) that are not being used for the application.
Steps to Skip Routing Step(s) in Batches
1. On the All or Review tab of the Data Grid, select the applications that need to have one or more routing steps skipped.
2. In the Batch Action dropdown, select Skip Routing Step.
4. Choose the step(s) that need to be skipped for the selected applications
5. Click Skip.
If reviews have already been assigned to the routing step(s) selected to skip, a modal will list those applications and reviews. In order to skip the step(s), the review assignments will need to be deleted.
Check the "Click here to confirm." box and then the Delete button to delete the assignments and skip the steps. A confirmation modal will then display the number of routing steps skipped and the number of review assignments deleted.
Click Cancel to return to the Grid without deleting the assignments or skipping the steps.
