Overview
- Applicant selects a response on a scale
- 255 character max (for label and any response options)
Default Admin View
- Click directly in the label, instructions, and rating fields to edit the text.
- Increase to the scale with green plus sign.
- Descrease the scale with red minus sign.
- Click Settings > Rating Values to configure other options.
Settings Panel Sections
General
A. Field reference - Unique identifier in the InfoReady database that does not show to applicants or reviewers.
B. Field label - Question label
C. Instructions (optional) - Any additional notes to help applicants answer the question
D. Required - Make the question required or optional (same as clicking asterisk * on main question screen).
E. Hide from reviewers (optional) - Check to hide the question and applicants' responses from reviewers.
F. Hide from applicants (optional) - Check to hide the question from applicants.
Rating Values
G. Rating Type - Choose Labels for numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) or words (Excellent, Good, Fair, etc.). Choose Stars or Smileys as a pictorial option.
H. Rating Count - Total choices
I. Minimum Rating Value - If labels are words, this field will not show.
J. Maximum Rating Value - If labels are words, this field will not show. Note: The maximum is 20. If you need a greater scale, consider Dropdown field instead.
K. Rating Step - Enter decimal values or whole numbers if you would like your scale to increase by increments less than or greater than 1.
L. Minimum Rating Label - To give extra guidance for applicants
M. Maxium Rating Label - To give extra guaiance for applicants
Logic
- Choose when the question is shown and/or required.

Layout
O. Show on page - Choose which page of the form the question shows (Can also drag and drop from main screen).
P. Display field on a new line - Uncheck to show the question directly to the right of the previous one.
Q. Field label location - Choose if and where the label should show.
R. Instructions location - Choose either under the field or under the field label

- From the Preview tab, here is how the question built above would look to applicants.
- Click directly in the label or instructions fields to edit that text.
- Switch back to the Designer tab to make any edits to logic or layout.
