When creating opportunities in InfoReady, you may want to copy from existing Word documents or PDFs into the description, application fields, or instructions. Because those original documents may use a variety of fonts and other styling, it's important to follow the tips below when transferring the text to InfoReady.
1. Remove formatting or paste as plain text.
- After copying from your original document, right click in the area you need to paste and select "Paste as plain text."
- The keyboard short cut for this is Ctrl+Shift+V (PC) or Cmd+Shift+V (Mac)
2. Watch for additional style coding.
- If you ever see your fields with additional html markup (see below), redo the copying and pasting, making sure to remove formatting.
- Or if it's a small amount, just remove directly from the field.
3. If pasting into the InfoReady text editor, remove formatting directly and then customize.
- Highlight all the text in the box and then click the "Tx" icon (outlined in red below).
- then use the tools within the editor to add bullet points, numbering, bolding, etc.
