When the Engage Homepage is enabled, administrators can choose to create a card to advertise or promote an opportunity  on the Details page,


Note: Any InfoReady template can be used as the starting point to create a card:

- If you want to simply adverstise information or link to an external site, use the Bulletin Board template.
- If you will collect applications and manage the review process in InfoReady, use the Form Designer template.

Card Basics

A. Title - Give the opportunity (and card) a title. For best results, limit to 80 characters.

B. Card Image (optional) - Selected image will automatically re-size, but any 16:9 ratio is best. If no image is selected, the card will display a default image.

       1. Browse your computer to select a file.

       2. Add alternative text for the image as a description for screen readers.

C. Homepage Description - Text entered here will display on the card face in the carousel view.

D. Category - Choose the most appropriate or create a new one using the "+" icon.

  • Check "Display on card" box to show category on the card.

E. Cycle - Choose the most appropriate or create a new one using the "+" icon.

  • Check "Display on card" box to show cycle on the card.

Continue filling out the rest of the fields as needed. 

  • Discipline/Subject Area, Total Funding, and Award Range are all options to include on card.
  • In the Dates section, you can choose to display the Internal Submission Deadline (i.e., Due Date) and/or Funding Organization's Deadline on the card.

Adding Fields

If you would like to display additional fields on your card that haven't already been selected above by checking the relevant "Display on card" boxes, click the Add Field button to create text or date fields, and then check the "Display on card" box.

Preview

At any point while configuring the card, scroll down to the Preview Card section to see what the card will look like to your users. 

  • Click the Preview Card button

  • If you have selected more than 3 attributes to show, you will see this message and will need to limit to 3 attributes before you can preview:

Finalizing and Launching

At the bottom of the page, select from the following options:

  • Save As Draft - To continue configuring the card later (from Manage > drafts on right sidebar)
  • Launch - To launch the card now (if configuration is complete)
  • Schedule Launch Date - To launch the card on a future date
  • Save As Template - To resuse the card configuration as a template in the future from Create > My Templates

then click the Save button to execute your choice

On the next pages, configure Requirements, Routing Steps, Notifications, and/or Progress Reports. When ready, launch the opportunity from the Finalize page, which will create the card on the homepage as well.

  • Clicking the card image or Learn More link will take the user to the Details page.
  • From there, users can choose to apply, or administrators can manage submissions.
