Below are some key points to help you quickly find what you're looking for:

1. Search looks across all the content that appears on each card and the data that appears in the list view.

  • e.g., title, homepage description, fields marked "Show on card"

2. Search includes all contents from the InfoReady Details page except any custom fields that are not shown on the card.

  • e.g., title, category, cycle, dates, description, etc.

3. Each search generates a direct link.

  • Once search results are generated, the content in your URL bar can be shared with others.
  • This is a great way to share specific opportunities in an easy-to-access format.

4. When searching a string of text (phrase), spaces are interpreted as AND, not OR.

  • e.g., searching cancer research would return results for any card containing both the words "cancer" and "research" (or "Cancer" and "Research") anywhere in the opportunity Details
  • Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) are not supported. Perform separate searches for different phrases.

5. Entering a phrase in double quotation marks (““) returns results that match the string exactly, excluding capitalization.

  • e.g., searching "cancer research" would return results for any card containing the exact phrase "cancer research" or "Cancer Research" anywhere in the card or opportunity Details.

6. Entering an * (asterisk) wildcard character serves as a placeholder within a word where one or more characters is unknown.

  • Usually used at the end of the search phrase to include other endings
  • e.g., cha* would return results containing “chapter”, “character”, “charter”, etc.

7. Entering a ? (question mark) wildcard character serves as a placeholder within a word for a single character.

  • Useful for finding different spellings of a word where only one letter may differ
  • e.g., wom?n would find return results for both woman and women
