Registration and Access

  • How do I log in to the system? Internal users associated with the institution should click the blue single sign-on (SSO) button to use their institutional credentials. External users or those at sites without SSO must register, activate their account via a confirmation email, and log in with their email and a created password.
  • What are the technical requirements for using InfoReady? The platform runs best on the latest supported versions of Chrome, Edge, and Safari. It should be accessed via a desktop or laptop computer, as it is not compatible with mobile devices or tablets.
  • What if I get a blank page when logging in with the blue SSO button? This typically indicates that your institution’s SSO is not sending the correct authentication information; you should contact your institutional IT department.

Finding and Starting Applications

  • Where can I find open opportunities? Open opportunities are listed on the homepage in an opportunities table where you can search, sort, and filter. You may also access an opportunity directly via a URL shared by an administrator.
  • How do I start an application? Click the "Apply" button located on the homepage table or on the specific "Details" page for that opportunity. If the opportunity allows multiple submissions and you have applied before, you may see an "Apply Again" button with options to start a new application or copy a prior one.
  • Why are the form fields grayed out with a lock symbol? This means the administrator has restricted the opportunity to applicants belonging to specific primary organizations. You must update your "User Profile" to include the required organization before you can type in the form.

Managing Applications

  • Can I save my work and come back later? Yes, a "Save as Draft" button is located in the lower-left corner of every application form.
  • How do I return to a draft I previously started? Always access your drafts through the Applications tab in the global navigation bar. Clicking "Apply" again from the homepage may create an unintentional duplicate draft.
  • Can I delete an old or duplicate draft? Yes, you can delete your own drafts by clicking the trash can icon in the "Actions" column of your Applications tab. Once a draft is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
  • Can I edit my application after I have submitted it? No, submitted applications cannot be edited unless an administrator returns them to you for revisions. Once an application is officially "Accepted" into the review process, it can only be edited by an administrator on your behalf.

Status Definitions

  • What does "Accepted" mean? "Accepted" indicates that an administrator has verified your submission and it has entered the review process; it does not mean you have been awarded.
  • What does "Returned for Revisions" mean? This means an administrator or reviewer needs you to make specific changes to your application and resubmit it.

Proxies and Collaborations

  • Can someone else submit an application for me? Yes, you may designate a "Proxy" in your User Profile. Once added, the proxy can select "Apply as Proxy" to submit on your behalf.
  • Where do applications submitted by a proxy live? The application and all associated data live in the account of the primary applicant, not the proxy.

Reference Letters and Post-Award

  • Can I see if my reference letters have been submitted? You can track the status (e.g., "new request" vs. "received") in the reference letters section of your saved draft or submitted application.
  • Can I see the content of my reference letters? By default, reference letters are confidential and cannot be viewed by applicants unless the administrator specifically changes this setting.
  • How do I submit a follow-up report if I am awarded? If the administrator assigns a progress report, it will appear in your Progress Reports tab for you to complete and submit.
