Below is a common list of terms used throughout InfoReady. If you would like to customize some of the default terms in the platform, check out our Customizing Sitewide Terms Guide.
Competition - We say competition; you say application process, RFP, RFA, opportunity, form, grant, etc. It’s hard to find common language when we work with so many different institutions!
Template - Structure of a competition that can be used to create similar opportunities over time. The default InfoReady templates available to you will depend on your Level of Service. From those, you can create an infinite number of custom templates for different types of use cases. All aspects of a competition can be saved as part of a template, saving administrators valuable time when repeating processes. Using templates also streamlines data collection and reporting.
Note: Administrators can also copy as a means of replicating.
Global Navigation Bar - The options bar along the top of your site, and right under your logo, that follows you around with navigation options:
Super Admin View
Applicant View
Reviewer View (Note: Reviewers may also have Applications and Progress Reports tabs, if they have also been an applicant).
Local Navigation Menu - The tools menu that pops up on the right-hand side of your screen. The choices here change depending on where you are on the Global Navigation Bar:
Admin Tab View
Manage View
Microsite - Additional landing pages off the main homepage that are used to group competitions for specific audiences. Microsites have unique content, only display competitions associated with them, have their own URL, and have specific administrators assigned to them. The Gold Level of Service comes with 3 microsites. Users navigate among microsites from the homepage:
