Templates don't have the same Copy feature you see on launched opportunities. However, if an Administrator wants to make a copy of an existing template, they can do so by following the steps below.

Note: You don't need to launch the copied template. Once the template is saved as a template, it will be available to select as a template when creating new opportunities.

Step 1: Go to your Manage tab

  • Determine if the template you want to copy is listed under “Your Templates,” “Shared Templates,” or
    “Sitewide Templates.”

Step 2: Click the Create tab and make dropdown box selections

  • Template Type: Refer to Step 1, and select the type.
  • Template: Select the specific template you want to copy.
  • Purpose: Select the purpose that most closely aligns with this template.
  • Once selections are made, click "Next."

Step 3: Review all sections

  • Although details and other information from the template you selected will populate, you'll need to enter an Internal Submission Deadline date to move forward. Any future date is acceptable.
  • Update other areas of the template, if necessary.

Step 4: Click Finalize button

  • In the “Options” dropdown, select “Save As Template.”
  • Add the title of the new template, perhaps adding a date to differentiate it from any similar templates.
  • Click the "Finish" button.
  • If you choose, you can now share the template: Sharing Templates with other Administrators.
