Would you like to keep certain application data private during the evaluation but still be able to report on it later? Do you need to have a blinded review process?
Important Notes
- The Application Title field cannot be hidden.
- Any hidden fields or file uploads
- will not display on the screen or in PDF application packets that reviewers download.
- will not show to assigned reviewers in any routing step by default.
- can be chosen to show to reviewers assigned to a specific routing step (see below).
Showing Hidden Fields for Specific Routing Steps
- In the Routing Steps configuration page, scroll to the step you would like to show the hidden fields.
- Under Step Options, check the first box: Show all fields marked "Hide from Reviewers" for this step.
Potential Uses
- Data that may bias reviews (e.g., GPA shown below)
- Demographic information: Age, gender, sex, nationality, ethnicity, etc.
- Questions or files that aren't relevant to review process, which can shorten and simplify the review process
Administrator Set Up
Hide a field by opening the Settings panel of the question and checking the Hide from Reviewers box:
Reviewer View of hidden First and Last Name
- If the First Name and Last Name fields are hidden from reviewers on the application form, reviewers will see the name as "Withheld by Administrator" in both emails and the Reviews tab (see below).
Hiding fields from reviewers is a Form Designer Pro feature. For more information, contact your account manager or view this article: Form Designer Template: Core vs. Pro Comparison Chart
