Release 3.55 of the InfoReady platform was deployed in the early morning hours of Monday, October 30, 2023. There’s a lot to love in this release, particularly in the Form Designer Template!

We will be hosting a "What's New?" webinar on November 14th to show many of these new features to current clients. Register here.

In the meantime, click any of the linked content below to learn more, and start exploring in your own InfoReady site!

Features and Enhancements

All Sites

  • No more cache clearing - We’ve changed how the platform uses your browser’s cache. You should no longer need to clear your cache after a new release.
  • Right-click to open applications - Admins will find they can now open applications in new tabs by right clicking on an application title from the Data Grid and selecting the “Open in new tab” option.

Sites with Form Designer Template (FDT)

  • Know your limits! – All fields within the requirements and progress report forms now include a visible character counter that shows how users’ progress toward reaching the maximum character limit for a given field.
  • Troublesome characters – Improvements have been made to help eliminate more hidden characters copied to a computer’s clipboard when a user cuts and pastes from a formatted document or webpage.
  • Add instructions easily – No longer do admins need to open a field’s settings panel add instructions. Add them quickly and easily right within the form designer. Point, click, and type!
  • A little help with the FDT learning curve – FDT and the form designer are powerful and have many configuration options. We’ve added more tooltips both on fields when building forms and within the settings panels to help administrators select the best configuration options for their needs.

An organized toolbox – Within the expanded view of the form designer, admins will see all tools a bit more organized within groups.

  • “Design Tools” help admins add organization and clarity to forms for users.
  • “Form Fields” are alphabetized to help find the right fields to include in a form.
  • “Additional Requirements” has been renamed “InfoReady Tools”. Here you will find all the form features unique to InfoReady: Applicant-Driven Routing Steps, Co-Applicants, Primary Organization, etc.

New Tools!

  • Rating Scale Questions - The form designer now supports adding “Rating Scale” questions to requirements and progress reports. Admins can now create configurable numerical scales or even include ratings of stars and smileys.
  • Supporting Documents – Admins can now upload supporting documents anywhere within a form for applicants to access.
  • Table of Contents – Most forms in InfoReady are easy enough to navigate, but forms with many pages can become difficult for applicants, reviewers, and admins to work through. Admins may now turn on a “TOC” (Table of Contents) within a form’s settings that will display each page’s name to the left of a form and allow users to use the list of pages to navigate from page to page. This is particularly useful when applicants may have to gather a variety of information to complete a form or want to focus their energies on completing specific pages or sections of an application.

Moving, dragging, and dropping fields – These actions all get easier with this release.

  • The “First Name”, “Last Name”, and “Application Title” fields are no longer fixed at the top of the requirements form. They can now be moved just about anywhere in a form. The two exceptions are to pages or sections that only display based on certain conditions (i.e., logic is used).
  • Sections can be moved by clicking and dragging.
  • Fields can be made to appear on one line by clicking and dragging rather than having to manage this in a field’s settings panel.

Duplicate Sections – We know that our admins often create similar groups of questions within a form. For example, an admin may have a set of questions applicants must complete in their proposal for activities in Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3. Rather than duplicate each of the fields for each year three times, admins can now create one section with all the necessary fields for Year 1, duplicate the Year 1 section for Year 2 and Year 3, only making necessary modifications to the section for each year.

The “Logic" Tab – The Logic Tab is a feature that can be enabled at the site level for all administrators. When activated, all FDT competitions will show a “Logic” tab next to the Preview tab. This tab allows admins to:

  • See all conditional logic configurations across a whole form, and
  • Create or edit new logic configurations without having to dive into the settings panel for each question.
  • Contact support@inforeadycorp.com to learn more or enable this feature.

Formatting Text Fields – When adding text fields to a form, admins now have additional options to format a user’s input. Options include specifying dates and times, months of the year, URLs, etc.

Hide Fields from Reviewers – Administrators may now hide other fields in a requirements form from all reviewers. First Name and Last Name are still hidden by deselecting “Reviewers can see the identity of the applicant” in a routing step’s settings. To hide other fields, admins can select “Hide from reviewers” in a field’s settings panel.
