The system will allow applicants to upload audio and video files as a part of their application. However, if they are included as file uploads, administrators and reviewers will not be able to download the application in pdf format.
There are two recommended ways of collecting media files via InfoReady. Read full descriptions below to make the best choice for your process.
1. Collect URLs of media hosted on external site.
- Ask applicants to upload the audio or video file to an external site (YouTube, Vimeo, Drive, Box, etc.) first.
- Remind them that the file should be viewable by anyone with access to the link. (Otherwise reviewers may not be able to see the content later).
- When building the Requirements page, simply add a text field that asks for the URL(s)
- When these are exported as part of the application pdf, admins and reviewers will be able to click on the link to view the content and then return to the application.

Form Designer Template

- If additional URLs are required, add more text fields.

Reviewer/Administrator: PDF of application
Note: The link can be clicked directly from the pdf.
2. Allow applicants to embed the media file(s) directly.
- On the Requirements page, add a rich text field.
- Add instructions to guide applicants toward using the embed media option (outlined in red below).
- If utilizing routing steps, you can instruct reviewers to play the video directly on the screen (see below).
- The video will NOT display in the PDF.
