If reviewers need to upload a file in addition to submitting a standard review form in the system, the best solution may be to activate the attachment section within a routing step.

Administrator View - Routing Steps Creation

When creating a routing step, directly below the Reviewer Instructions box, administrators can choose to add an attachment.

Choose file button outlined in red

Choose a file from your computer. The title of the file will display once it's uploaded.

BLANK.docx file shows as uploaded.

Important Notes:
 - If the file is for informational purposes only, it is better to put that text in the Reviewer Instructions box instead.
- The file is meant for reviewers to download, fill out, and then upload.
- If a file is uploaded in the routing step, reviewers assigned to that step will have to upload a file in order to submit their review.
- This functionality can be combined with any other routing step.
- If you don't have a template file to upload, you can put a placeholder document and then explain what they should upload in the Reviewer Instructions box.

Reviewer View

  • The attachment will appear above the main review form (The example here is an Approve/Do Not Approve step).
  • The "Please download below document..." instructions are hard coded and cannot be changed.
  • ANY file can be uploaded by the reviewer by clicking the Choose File button

Administrator View - Viewing Completed Reviews

  • The files reviewers attach as part of their review are visible in the Reviewers section if each submission (shown below).
  • They will also show in PDF packets downloaded from the system. View full instructions for that process here: Reviews in PDF Format
