Release 3.82 of the InfoReady platform was deployed in the early morning hours of Friday, May 1, 2026.

Announcement on New Homepage

The final day of the legacy InfoReady homepage is approaching. All remaining InfoReady sites (AKA tenants) still using the legacy homepage will be automatically upgraded to the new homepage the week of May 4th (date moved from May 1st). The new homepage provides improved accessibility, usability, mobile-responsiveness, and functionality. Please note that the Calendar tab will be removed when the update occurs. Visit the support portal article on the new homepage for more details.

Features and Enhancements

In this release, we’ve made the following updates:

Form Designer Enhancements

Applicant first and last name fields. The first name and last name fields that display when building an application form are designed to pre-populate with the first and last name of the applicant when they begin an application. Previously, we allowed administrators to modify the field labels on these fields. We’ve found, however, that administrators sometimes try to repurpose these fields to collect other information, which can potentially cause data errors. To prevent this error, the fields have been relabeled “Applicant First Name” and “Applicant Last Name” and are no longer editable. The change will only impact draft competitions or brand-new competitions built from scratch.

Prompting applicants to save applications. When working on their applications, applicants often forget to save their progress. To help remind them, they will now see an alert message atop the page. The message appears when it has been more than 10 minutes since they last saved their changes. The message will not impede applicants from continuing to work. They can choose to save via a button within the alert message, close the message, or ignore the message to continue working.

Applicant Submission Deadline Alerts. Applicants will now see alerts on the screen on deadline days when working on an application. The alerts occur at intervals of 30, 20, 10, and 2 minutes before the deadline time. Aside from identifying the remaining time, the alert prompts applicants to save their work.

Setting when applicants’ field entries are validated. By default, the Form Designer template validates application forms to ensure that applicants have completed all required fields and entered data in required formats. This validation occurs when they finish the form and attempt to submit. Moving forward, admins may now change the timing of when the validation occurs with either of two new options: 1) after a field response is entered or changed, and 2) when the applicant switches between pages on the form.

Form Designer Core

Clients with Form Designer Core may now hide fields in application forms from reviewers.

Accessibility

We continue to make accessibility improvements across the platform. This release, we made major updates throughout the platform to:

  • Forms
  • Keyboard navigation
  • Bulleted lists
  • Color contrast
  • Links
  • Page titles

If you spot a specific accessibility issue at any time, please submit a ticket to the support team

The VPAT has been updated to account for the changes included in this release. As always, you can find the VPAT by clicking the “Accessibility” link in the lower right corner of your InfoReady site or visit https://accessibility.infoready4.com for the VPAT and additional accessibility resources.

Other Enhancements

Every release addresses a variety of bugs, performance improvements, and accessibility enhancements to maximize your InfoReady experience. The InfoReady Support Team will reach out directly to any clients who have submitted tickets for any specific issues resolved with this release.

Key Fixes and Updates:

  • We resolved an issue where saved custom grid views weren’t appearing as expected.
  • If you don’t need routing steps for your process, the “Routing Steps Are Not Needed” checkbox will stay checked and no default step will appear on the screen.
  • We restored the “Apply Again” button within the applicant alert message for processes that allow more than one application per applicant.
  • We’ve put more guardrails in place to prevent Administrators from accidentally changing InfoReady tools to other form components.

A reminder…

Retiring the General and Funding Templates

Since being introduced in December 2023, the Form Designer template has been the preferred option to create opportunities in InfoReady due to its improved functionality and usability over other templates. For those that haven’t made the switch to Form Designer, it’s now time to upgrade your Funding and General template opportunities to make them easier for you to manage and for applicants and reviewers to complete their forms.

We’ve worked the last several months to make the process of upgrading existing Funding and General template opportunities as smooth as possible. You will see information throughout the platform about how to complete the upgrade process for any opportunity that you may need to upgrade.

Between now and July 1, 2026:

  • We encourage you to create opportunities using only the Form Designer template.
  • Begin upgrading any competitions you expect that you will need to use after July 1.
  • Attend training webinars dedicated to the upgrade to the Form Designer template. We’ll be hosting monthly webinars on the topic, with different webinars covering either basic or advanced concepts. See here for the full list of webinar options

Any opportunities launched with the Funding or General templates before July 1, 2026 will not be impacted. You will continue to be able to manage those opportunities for the duration of those opportunities, including collecting Progress Reports years into the future. Any opportunities created with the General or Funding templates after July 1 will direct you to the migration tool before you can launch the opportunity.

For complete information on the upgrade process, see Transferring Existing Opportunities to the Form Designer Template on the InfoReady Support Portal.
