Features and Enhancements
New Routing Steps Interface
Throughout the past year we’ve been working on a major facelift to the Routing Steps page. With this release, we’re happy to announce the new interface is now available for all administrators to use within any process. While you can continue to utilize the legacy routing steps you’re used to, we hope you try out the new experience the next time you set up a routing process.
A button on the Routing Steps setup page will allow admins to toggle between the new interface and legacy version for each individual competition. This approach is designed to accommodate different needs, timing, and levels of comfort. If you have legacy steps built, toggling to the new interface will copy everything over. Please note, we don’t recommend toggling to the new interface if you have already assigned reviewers in the competition.
Updates to Routing Steps include:
No more "Step Type"- Getting started with routing steps is now much simpler. Admins simply choose either 1) Review or 2) Return for Revisions, and then use the form builder to create the review form.
Review - Build any review form by mixing and matching different question types
Return for Revisions - Same functionality as existing Return for Revisions experience
Copying a routing step - Start with a copy of a step you've already configured and make edits from there.
Approval tool - Replaces the legacy Approve/Do Not Approve step type
Rating scale questions - This field type will function the same way the "ratings" component of the legacy Comments & Ratings step did: 1) average scores are displayed in the user interface and Data Grid, and 2) additional calculations are provided in Excel reports.
PDF packet share option - To replace (and enhance) the functionality of the legacy Committee Approval and Ranking step types, Admins can select the new step option: "Allow reviewers to email assigned applications to others as PDFs.”
We’ll be hosting a training webinar on Tues, 8/18 at 1pm ET/10am PT to go over these features in more detail. Register here.
Electronic Signature (E-Signature) for the Requirements Page
We are excited to introduce electronic signature functionality to the Requirements page (application form). The feature will be available to clients with Gold, Platinum, or Enterprise licenses or with the Template Bundle add-on. In general, electronic signature (e-signature) refers to any electronic process that indicates acceptance of an agreement or record with these requirements:
Intent to sign
Consent to do business electronically
Opt-out clause
Signed copies
Record retention
InfoReady has developed a specific experience for this purpose that involves:
Tenant-level disclosure text that can be modified per the institution's electronic signature policy
A tool with the option for users to enter signature via a text field, upload, or signature pad
The option for users to not consent
The ability for users and admins to download the signature with timestamp as part of the PDF
Prohibiting edits to the application without allowing the user re-sign
An audit trail within the application activity log that records an entry any time the e-signature needs to be resigned (e.g., when the application is returned)
To learn more about this feature within InfoReady and determine if it is a good fit for your process, see this article.
Option to Hide the Apply Button from the Homepage Table
Since transitioning all clients to our updated homepage experience earlier this year, we’ve been collecting feedback on what improvements you’d like to see. This release includes an option to hide the “Apply” button from the homepage table, which forces potential applicants to click either the title or “Learn More” button to read through the opportunity’s Details page before starting their application. Administrators will see this when creating their Details page as a “Display on homepage” checkbox directly below the Apply button label.
Accessibility
We believe that accessible code is good code. But we do miss things from time to time. You can view any known issues on our Accessibility Forecast.
Our VPAT is up to date.
If you spot a specific accessibility issue at any time, please submit a ticket to the support team.
The “Accessibility” link in the lower right corner of your InfoReady site provides access to these and other accessibility information and resources.
Other Enhancements
Every release addresses a variety of bugs, performance improvements, and accessibility enhancements to maximize your InfoReady experience. The InfoReady Support Team will reach out directly to any clients who have submitted tickets for any specific issues resolved with this release.
Key Fixes and Updates
All dates on the Details page will now show in chronological order, whether they are default or custom dates.
In any report that utilizes the Primary Organization feature, all levels will be shown in the associated Excel reports (e.g., Provost - College of Engineering - Chemical Engineering).
In the Applications area of the Reports tab, Admins can now filter specifically from their Primary Organization list.
