The basis for building any form is adding a variety of questions. Below is high-level information on how to add and edit fields.

Question Building Basics

1. Once added, each question automatically has a field label.

2. Then, if needed, add instructions where "Enter field description" shows.

3. If needed, make the question required (*).

4. Click Settings to view all configuration options for the question, which will vary by field type.

3 Ways to Add Questions

From the Designer tab, there are multiple ways to add form fields (i.e., questions):

1. Expand Main Toolbar 

  • Click arrows icon to expand the Designer view.

  • Click any field once to add it directly below the currently selected question. 
  • Or, you can drag and drop into the desired location.

2. Add Field Link

  • At the end of each page, click Add Field to insert another question.

  • The default is Text Field. Click the dropdown to edit the question type.

3. Ellipsis Menu

Click the ellipsis (...) to bring up the full list of field types. Select any type to insert that question.

Editing Questions

Once a form field is added, several options appear:

A. Click the dots and hold to drag and drop the question to a new location.

B. Click the dropdown to change the question type.

  • Note: After any application is submitted, the question type cannot be changed.

C. Click the dropdown to change the validation. (Only appears on text fields).

D. Duplicate the question.

E. Open the Settings panel to edit the label, choices (if applicable), instructions, and conditional logic.

  • Note: After any application is submitted, the label and instructions can be changed, but choices (for multiple choice/select/dropdown questions) cannot be changed.

F. Make the question required (optional is the default).

G. Delete the question.
