Managing Applications – Individual vs. Batch Actions

In InfoReady, applications can be managed one at a time (individually) or in groups (batches). Module 5 will share examples of both methods for key actions. You may choose which to use, based on your preferences and the specific configuration of your opportunity.

  • Individual: Click on the application title from the Data Grid, then use the Local Navigation Menu on the right.
  • Batch Actions: Check the boxes next to relevant submissions in the Data Grid, then select from the Batch Actions dropdown and follow the prompts for the action.

Accept or Return Applications

Administrators check submitted applications for eligibility, verifying all required information and materials are included. If everything is in order, the application status can be updated from Submitted to Accepted. Occasionally, applications must be returned so Applicants can make changes, resulting in a Returned status.

Module 5A: Put into Practice Exercise

Scenario 1: An Applicant submitted their application but did not upload the correct budget template. They used their own Excel sheet, versus the specific template included in the Supporting Documents section of the application. What option(s) do you have to ensure the correct template is included in this application?
Scenario 2: You are looking over an opportunity’s submitted applications and notice one of the applications was submitted by an individual who you often ask to be a Reviewer. How might you remind yourself, the opportunity Owner, as well as the two Co-administrators working with you, not to assign this individual as a Reviewer for this opportunity?
Activity 1: Click on an archived opportunity that has many applications. Go to the Data Grid and look for the Batch Actions menu. Check each Stage tab to see if there are any applications listed. For the tabs that do have applications, click the Batch Actions menu to see what actions are available in each tab.
Activity 2: Ask a teammate to submit a test application to one of your test opportunities. Then, send the submitted application back to them for minor edits. Once your teammate re-submits their updated application, accept that application within the application itself (not Batch Actions), but do not send an email notification. Then, download a PDF copy of the application using the Batch Actions feature. Send that PDF as a file attachment to a Support ticket and Note Module 5A completion in the Description section of your ticket.
