Expected Completion Time: 40-50 Minutes

Administrators creating an opportunity using the Form Designer Template will notice the Requirements section is different than in other templates. At this point in the training, you may want to jump ahead to review Module 11: Form Designer Template, specifically the Requirements Page Guide.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this module, you should be able to do the following:

  • Complete the basic fields of the Requirements section, including form questions and file uploads.
  • Identify the purpose of optional features for this section: Co-Applicants, Applicant-Driven Routing Steps, Reference Letters, Keywords, and the Acknowledgment Statement.

Related articles and training videos are included below. Please review materials that fit your learning style and then complete the Put into Practice exercise at the end of this module.

Requirements

Together, the fields and file uploads included in the Requirements section make up the application or form that users submit. This page will look different based on what InfoReady template was initially used.

Module 3C: Put into Practice Exercise

Note: If you would like to practice creating a test opportunity as you work though this and upcoming various modules, please see Module 3G: Finalize to learn how to save your work as a draft.

- Scenario 1: You are creating a new opportunity and are advised all applications must include a digital signature. How could you incorporate that in the Requirements section?
- Scenario 2: An opportunity requires a minimum of two letters of recommendation (LOR). If you do not want applicants to read their LORs, where should you collect them: (1) as an uploaded document, or (2) in the Reference Letters section?
- Activity 1: See how many versions of the same question you can create using different question types. For example, a question with a Yes/No response points to a Yes/No question type, but technically that same question could be asked with Multiple Choice, Text Field, and Text Box.
- Activity 2: What does the number 255 signify in the Requirements section? Explain why that number is important. Send your response in the body of a Support ticket. Note Module 3C completion in your ticket, as well.
